Chapter 1 "Full Moon Night"

The full moon illuminates the bottom of the well.
However, the side hole is dark.
Father Adway groped in the pouch.
Then he took out the candle and the match, lit the candle and held it over.
The inside of the side hole is illuminated brightly.
A dark brick is projected around it.
It has green moss on it.
The surroundings have a damp smell.
It glows white, probably because of the footprints of the shoes on the ground.

Yuya received a candle from Father Adways and started walking in front of him. 

They led Yuya to the depths of the cave.

A big dark door emerged from the darkness.

満月が、井戸の底を照らしている。
だが、横穴は暗い。
アドウェイ神父は、ポーチの中を手探りした。
そして、蝋燭ろうそくとマッチを取り出し、蝋燭に火をつけてかざした。
横穴の中が明るく照らされる。
周りに黒ずんだ煉瓦（れんが）が映し出される。
それには緑色の苔（こけ）が生えている。
辺りは湿気臭い。
地面に靴の足跡があるのか、白く光っている。
「人が通っています。
　アドウェイ神父。私が先に行きましよう」
（このようなことには、私が対処しなければいけない）と裕也は思った。
「裕也。大丈夫かい」
アドウェイ神父は、裕也を心配した。
「はい」
裕也は、アドウェイ神父から蝋燭を受け取って先に歩き出した。
彼らは、裕也を先頭に洞窟の奥へ進んだ。
奥に暫く進むと、突き当りまできた。奥は黒ずんで見えない。
「行き止まりです」
裕也は、手を前に出し、空を切る。
（重い。何かがある）
そして、灯りを暗闇に向ける。
暗やみから大きな暗黒の扉が浮かび出てきた。
「次元の扉です」
裕也には、少し歪んで見えた。触ってみる。
だんだん、扉は、はっきりと彼らに見えてくる。
重厚（じゅうこう）な鉄でできているみたいである。
絵が浮き出ている。
中央に十字架があり、誰かが張り付けられている。そして、何の蔦つたかは分からないが、蔦が絡みついている。
その蔦には、実がなっていた。
（悪魔の実。そんな分けないか。胡桃（くるみ）かな？）
裕也は、ふと雑念が過よぎった。種子はとげとげしていた。
「開けて、入れますか？」アドウェイ神父は、尋ねた。
「入れそうです」裕也は、そう言って扉を押した。

「ギギギィィギ」扉の開く音が響く。

「お待ちしておりました。どうぞお入りください。」
彼らは中から声を聴いた。
